Brampton father Kamal Kishore hopes to start a new business with his recent $1 million lottery win.

He had the winning ticket for a Maxmillions prize from the Sept. 17 Lotto Max draw.

Kishore, an occasional lottery player, told the OLG he was very surprised to discover his win.

“I was so shocked. I can’t explain the joy – it’s so nice,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

The 49-year-old father said he plans to use his win to start a new business so he can provide employment for others.

“And I’d like to surprise my wife with a trip when it’s safe to travel,” he added.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Airport Road in Mississauga.
